How did you get into Pilates?
I specifically started Pilates for cross-training and because Pilates is low-impact. After years of dance and injuries, Pilates helped address specific weaknesses to help restore my body.
Why do you love Pilates?
Makes you better at anything you do physically. Pilates is a way of connecting people to their bodies with no strings attached – it’s just you and your body.
Why did you become an instructor?
In teaching movement, there are lots of things to love and it’s important to love your work.
What makes your class special?
Regardless of the type of class you take with me, you’re always going to get a good workout.
Why do you love teaching at New York Pilates?
NYP is a creative and contemporary studio. I love the people I work with, and that everyone can be themselves.
How long have you been an instructor?
Do you prefer fitness or technical classes?
Both! Ideally an even mix, but you’ve got to have a strong technique to get the most out of fitness class.
