For fresh sequences and a little extra spice.
Alex’s Flatiron reviewers describe thoughtfully constructed classes, approachable explanations, and options to increase the challenge. Students repeatedly mention creative sequences and modifications. Choose Alex when you want to keep exploring what the reformer can do.

2. Kat Anta
For calm delivery and precise work.
Kat’s named Flatiron reviews describe calm instruction alongside demanding classes. Students mention clear direction, progressive movements, and reassurance for a nervous beginner. She is a pick for a focused class that still asks you to work.

3. Matthew Mantenuto
For variety with a patient approach.
Matthew’s named reviews describe routines that change, clear explanations, and an ability to meet students where they are before adding challenge. His feedback spans studios; look for current classes at West Village and Flatiron.

About this month’s picks
These are New York Pilates editorial recommendations, listed without a numerical teacher score. Descriptions draw on reviews that identify the teacher. A review may come from another NYP studio where that teacher has taught. The first edition uses the Google review snapshot collected October 11, 2026, plus a Google update checked October 13. Teacher locations were checked against the October 11–17 Mindbody schedule. Teacher page links open individual live schedules; times and locations can change.
ClassPass and Mindbody written reviews have not yet been included in this edition. The monthly review check will add attributable feedback when those sources are accessible.
