What is NYP GYM?
NYP GYM is the world’s first Pilates reformer gym. A members-only open gym format with 60 minute bookings for you to workout on an NYP reformer when you want, how you want, with who you want. No instructors means you can workout alongside an NYP World reformer workout or do your own thing – there’s no wrong way to NYP GYM.

What’s included in my NYP GYM Membership?
How do I book a session? Do I need to book in advance?
NYP GYM is members only – monthly memberships are available for $250/month. Become a member and book now!
Sessions can be booked online at newyorkpilates.com or the NYP app on the NYP GYM schedule. Each 60 minute session gives you unlimited access to a single reformer and NYP props. Note that there are 30 minute windows between bookings to allow for equipment and props to be sterilized.
What should I do during my session?
Workout! Follow along with a Reformer workout on NYP WORLD, check out @newyorkpilates to get inspired, or ask a Studio Rep for recommendations on their favorite moves. The possibilities are endless!
Can I have an instructor make a Reformer program for me?
NYP GYM members get 20% off of Private Sessions. Book now with your favorite instructor for a personalized workout and tips on getting the most of your session.
Will there be an instructor teaching my session?
New York State law currently does not permit instructors to teach group classes. There is no set program or instructor leading the session.
Can I use my existing membership to book NYP GYM?

What studios are currently open for NYP GYM?
West Village NYP GYM opens Friday, October 16th and Bowery NYP GYM opens Monday, October 19th! We hope to continue to create this offering across our other studios in the coming months.
Do I need to take a Private before my NYP GYM session?
Private sessions are not mandatory prior to your first NYP GYM session but are a great way to brush up on your skillz. Check out our Privates schedule here.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes! NYP Gym members have unlimited guest passes for first timers! Live chat us to book a friend.
Check in with the Studio Rep upon arrival. Your private instructor will be ready to begin at the start of the scheduled time. Lateness of more than 20 minutes will result in a loss of private credit and access to session.
You will lose a private pack credit or be charged for the full cost for sessions cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the start time.
Our Standards of Safety
As always, the health and safety of the NYP team and our students are our priority. We have taken important steps to meet CDC guidelines and operate our studios safely.
Cleaning products and procedures: Our studio teams have upgraded our cleaning standards in-studio to ensure we are compliant with the CDC guidelines for disinfection and sanitization. We are regularly disinfecting the studio’s common spaces, equipment and tablets, with a 30 minute break at the top of each hour to sanitize the studio from top to bottom.
Health Checks: We are requiring all studio team members to get temperature checks at the start of their shifts. We are also requiring temperature checks of all students that enter our studios and will refuse access as necessary. Reminder: If you are sick or showing symptoms, please stay home.
Governor Cuomo states that after traveling out of state, individuals must quarantine and wait 4 days before taking a test. Along with NY state, we ask students to follow these guidelines before returning to our studios to keep everyone in our community safe.
Face Masks: All studio team members are required to wear a face mask or face covering during their shift. Similarly, all students are required to wear a face mask or face covering during their session in-studio. If you are most comfortable wearing gloves, we encourage you to wear them in addition to your face mask. Note: Please be sure to bring your own mask as we will not be supplying these.
Health and Safety Waiver: Before every class, you’ll be required to acknowledge and accept the health and safety parameters we’ve put in place. You’ll be able to do this in your MindBody app when booking your session.
Arrival: We encourage students to arrive as close to their booked session as possible, as our shared lounge areas will be closed as a safety precaution.
Check-in Flow: On the day of your booked session (private or NYP GYM) you can check in at the front desk. A member of our studio team will check your temperature and share our updated protocol to keep you, your belongings and your fellow students safe. We encourage you to bring your own water to the studio but we will have water on site if needed. Once you head into the NYP GYM, you will find sanitized equipment and accessories for your use. Please remain in your designated space and be respectful of others by wearing headphones during your workout. After your session, please leave any used equipment in the GYM so a studio team member can properly disinfect them before their next use.
In-Studio Amenities: On-site restrooms are available, but our changing rooms, cubbies/lockers and lounge areas will not be available for use. We have removed shared amenities from the bathrooms to decrease cross contamination. If you need a specific item, please let our studio team know!
Air Flow: Our windows and doors are open as necessary to ensure appropriate air circulation is present through your studio.
We have a firm no lateness policy across studios. If you’re not checked in 5 minutes before the start of your session, your spot will be released to the next student on the waitlist.
When a class is full, you can book yourself onto the waitlist. If you are on the waitlist you should expect to attend class. Students will be placed into the class up to 12 hours before the start time of class.
Reservation Adjustments and Missed Reservations
Students must check in 5 minutes before the start of class. If not, your spot will be released to the next student on the waitlist.
Missed Reservations, previously no shows,result in a $40 charge for any member or package holder that is not checked in at the start of the class. Class credits will be returned to all accounts.
Any adjustment, including cancellation, made 12 hours or less before class start time will result in a reservation adjustment charge of $15.
Exchanges and Returns
SERVICES: All products and services sold are nonexchangeable and nonrefundable. This applies to all services including Classes, Private Sessions, Workshops and Packages.
MERCHANDISE: Returns or refunds to original form of payment may be made within 14 days of purchase under the conditions that the item(s) have original tags and packaging still intact, and that the item(s) are unworn, unused, unstained, and not damaged. New York Pilates is not responsible for any packages lost or damaged while in transit.
Rude or aggressive behavior and words towards any NYP staff member or student in our community will not be tolerated and may result in termination of membership or suspension from studios.
NYP Gym Membership Terms
- Memberships are no commitment, month-to-month auto-pay. Must give 30 days written (email or Live Message) notice to cancel and pay next scheduled monthly membership dues. See terms below.
- Members must maintain a valid credit card on file with New York Pilates.
- Membership is non transferable.
- Adjusted Reservations and Missed Reservations are subject to fees. See class cancellation policies below.
- Booking adjustments, including cancellations, must be made at least 12 hours before the booking start time or a $15 fee will be applied.
- If you missed your booking reservation, a $40 Missed Reservation fee will be charged to your credit card on file. Booking credits will be returned to all accounts.
- Members may cancel their membership with 30 days written (via email or Live Message) notice and the payment of one final month membership dues.
Consumers Right to Cancellation:
- You may Cancel this Contract without any penalty or further obligation within three (3) days from this date.
Exchanges and Returns:
- All NYP services, packages and memberships are non-refundable or exchangeable. All sales are final.
Subject to change:
- New York Pilates’ NYP GYM Monthly Membership Contract is subject to change. New York Pilates reserves the right to make changes and improvements to the Membership and services offered.
- Failure to pay Membership, Reservation Adjustment or Missed Reservation fees may result in the suspension of your booking privileges.
I have a history of injury or medical issues, can I take any NYP classes?
NYP may decline class entry for injury and other safety concerns including pregnancy.
I’m pregnant, can I take classes or privates?
All pregnant students may take Pre-Natal Classes and Privates.
If you are in your first trimester, you may take all NYP classes.
If you are in your second trimester, you may take any Pre-Natal or Post-Natal class and Sculpt & Restore after a Pre-Natal Private Session is completed. Reach out to us on LiveChat for a 50% discount off your first Pre-Natal Private Session!
If you are in your third trimester, you may take any Pre and Post-Natal classes and/or Privates.
Do you take cash or cards?
We accept all major debit cards and credit cards. NYP is a proudly a cash-free business.
Can I bring my pet to NYP?
NYP does not allow pets of any kind. Pre-approved service animals are welcomed with a human companion.
No animals are allowed in the studio rooms without a human companion.
Can my child wait for me while I’m in class?
We do not offer childcare. For safety, children under the age of 16 are not permitted in the studio or lobby area unattended.
