WWD: New York Pilates Opens Montauk Studio

New York Pilates Montauk Opening
Montauk’s reformer Pilates movement reaches new heights with the New York Pilates Montauk opening led by Heather Andersen of New York Pilates fame. After a successful summer pop-up at Gurney’s, Andersen opened a permanent New York Pilates studio to bring her down town Pilates energy to the East End. “We loved Montauk,” she says to WWD. “There isn’t much fitness here, so this felt right.” The space combines refined design and coastal calm. As a result, each class feels intentional, elegant, and energizing.

Reformer Pilates in Montauk by Heather Andersen
Inside the light-filled studio on Montauk Highway, guests find 16 reformers, pale wood accents, and ocean air drifting through open doors. Moreover, reformer Pilates sessions in Montauk focus on alignment, rhythm, and strength. Each move encourages control while keeping the body light and steady. In addition, the New York Pilates location includes curated apparel from Live the Process and Outdoor Voices. Consequently, style and strength flow together. Through smaller groups and weekend retreats, Andersen defines Pilates in the Hamptons as an energetic, confident, and creative movement.
Expanding the New York Pilates Lifestyle

The New York Pilates opening brings the brand’s minimalist beauty from SoHo studio to the sea. Classes welcome both locals and visitors, building balance through mindful motion. Additionally, the studio hosts seasonal retreats with boutique hotel partners. Therefore, the studio becomes more than exercise—it becomes a ritual of strength, style, rhythm, and renewal.
